Of course I did not do it. I just = went into our VW dealer to have some work done. New cooling pipes and while there = got a new distributor and had the timing adjusted. Plenty of power for me. I = can cruise at 85 mph with no trouble at all (not up hill of course.) I also = had the shift linkage cleaned and re greased. What a difference! I doubt most = vanagon users know how easy the shifting can be with good maintenance to the = shifting linkage. The gears slip in almost without effort now. had the mechanic = not recommended it I would never have known how smooth it can = be.
