It is actually fairly easy to remove = the cigarette lighter from the dash.

While it may not be the preferred or = only way of doing it, I have found that using a wooden or plastic wedge in a prying motion around the circumference of the socket works well. IIRC, the = lighter is only a friction-fit situation, no pesky screws or other. Limited = slack in the wiring, so when it finally gives proceed with = caution.

Just be patient and apply the prying evenly.

Subject: Heater/vent control panel/cigarette lighter illuminating lights...

Hi there... My illuminating lights behind the heater/vent control panel = and the cigarette lighter (with green ring) in my 88 Weekender went out for = a while. With daylight getting shorter and more driving in the dark, I decide = to get those light bulbs replaced, anyone experience in replacing bulb in = those two places? Do I have to tear them out of the dashboard? Or let my hand = crawling inside the dashboard? Any advice will be appreciated... Thanks.
