This reminds me... with the recent release of the movie, I = went back and watched some old "Lost in Space" episodes on the SciFi = channel.  Wow, were they bad, but the minute their little RV = thingie appeared, everyone in the room yelled out "Hey, it's a Vanagon!"

 

Now, I know that the show was made in 1965, but the LIS van = looks a heck of a lot like a Vanagon.
