I'm trolling for suggestions on = repairing a Westfalia mud flap (replacement cost $86!). The right front flap has a = clean two inch horizontal tear probably from rubbing up against a high curb. I = thought of sandwiching the damaged area between two flat metal plates (kinda ugly = though) or between two pieces of heavy duty rubber of some kind and riveting the = whole affair together. Any other ideas out there?
