we would like to thank all the = people that responded to our first mail( the baha one), it is a pleasure to have = this type of forum for our fabulous vanagons. the van seems to be running = well, plenty of power (not like my buddies big block econoline, but it goes = good), feels good on the hiway, and is a joy to cruise around in.

we have noted from scouring the archives that the viscous coupling seems to be the = vastly expensive and unique part to go wrong. how does a bad vc manifest = itself, and, what are the other major items to look out for? we want to = prepare the van for an extended (3 month?) voyage, on which we will rely = on it for getting us out of whatever really good spot(remote) we can find. = the van doesn't appear to have been abused, but also does not seem to have = received top quality care. any suggestions?
