Just saw a Quicktime video clip today. It was a =
remake of the
VW Golf commercial
with the 2 guys who pick up the stinky couch while =
the
'da-da-da' song plays in the
background. (who was that band anyway, I remember it =
getting
regular airplay around
the '79-'80 era?).
Anyway, this version appears to be inside-Microsoft =
since to
the driver and passenger
are Steve Ballmer and Bill Gates respectively. =
Instead of the
couch, they stop to pickup
a Sun Workstation and as the original ad goes, drop =
it off due
to its unappealing stench.
The commercial ends with voiceover "The =
Internet, it fits
your life, or your complete lack
there of" and "On the information highway, =
there are
passengers and there are drivers."
The last screenshot is of the Internet Explorer 'E' =
with
"Drivers Wanted" underneath.
