Hello all-
We just got our used Vanagon, and =
are pretty
poor mechanics to begin with. We're trying to fix some things ourselves, =
but
have no idea what's up with a recent problem. Any help would be much
appreciated.
We returned from a trip (no problems =
on the
road), shut everything down and found two weeks later that we could not =
start
the Vanagon. The engine does not turn over and we get no starter sound
whatsoever. We cannot turn on anything electrical - no headlights, no =
small
lights, nothing. Our first thought was that the battery had discharged, =
but our
battery charger says it is fully charged. It is a relatively new battery =
(6
months, rarely used) and all connections are uncorroded and look very =
good at
the battery end. I don't know if there is a 'main fuse' that we can =
check. As we
have no powered items whatsoever, does it mean that some important =
electrical
cable is loose or faulty?
Thanks very much for your help.
Ready to do what it takes, Sandy and
