Hello Readers:
It's cold here in Winnipeg, =
approximately -30 C
since Christmas, and I think I "may" have a temperature =
related
electrical problem.
Sometimes when I start my van, my =
front and rear
fans work. Othertimes, they don't at all. If they do work, they =
sometimes cut
out when I put the van in reverse! Or sometimes they seem to work =
reliably if
the lights aren't on, although I have not proven that, it is just an =
impression
I gathered during my trip North of the 46th parallel.
In any case, when I turn the fan =
switches to
"on", in the situation when the fans are not working, I hear a =
"click" (to my left, I think) that I suspect is a relay. I =
believe
someone told me that it is the "load reduction Relay", but I =
don't
know for sure. My Bentley was ordered from Adirondack Auto Brokers (www.Germanautoparts.com) and =
it is
still not here and very very late (promised on the 6th or 7th, Are they =
rip-off
artists?), so I can't do any investigation.
Can somebody give me some pointers, =
and,
hopefully, help me physically locate the components that I need to =
check? I am
new at this game, obviously, but I am "committed to my Westy", =
so I
hope that you can help me! (Besides, I invented a travel toilet, which I =
posted
and described on this list, heh heh). It came in handy on my trip to =
Snow Lake,
I might add!
Cheers!
