On the heels of the discussion last week regarding painting exterior plasti=
c, I painted the exterior on my bus this past weekend. I used Krylon f=
lat black to paint
- both front grilles
- rear air intakes
- rear window exhaust vents
- trim on front/rear bumpers and
- the trim on the side panels
It worked very well indeed.
Also, as my 13 year old decided to "touch up" a spot he decided &=
nbsp;I missed, I had to clean some errant paint from one of the side panels.=
Honorable son missed the black trim and hit a portion of the gray pla=
stic. Ultimately, I found that furniture finish stripper (essentially =
methyl ethyl ketone) not only removed the errand black paint nicely, but als=
o did a fantastic job of refurbishing the general finish of the trim. =
So well in fact that I used it on the other side trim and bumpers. The=
y all look really clean and sharp!
