Does it turnover OK?  I had the oil = pressure relief valve stick on me once and the van would not start-made = a whirring sound.  It eventually started after a few hours of = trying (I was in a park in the middle of nowhere), but it had forced = the oil out the exhaust manifold and into the cad. Converter, which = later crapped out on the way home.

holding the solenoid to the starter = had worked loose and fallen out!
