The Vanagon Radiator has more than = enough capacity for that engine.  Being three rows deep and as large as it = is, you should no problem at 100 plus.  My 87 Syncro survived death Valley = at 123 with the AC on.  IF anything, an oil cooler should be considered. Particularly if you drive at high speeds for extended periods of time.

I have a 84 Westie with a/c and I use it in = Phoenix AZ where temperatures are over 100 in the summer.  Does anybody = know where I can get a larger capacity radiator or can I have my radiator = modified to increase its capacity.
