In my 1984 Westy my fuel pump was = screaming so I swaped it for a know good one(not option for every) and still sreamed. = checked fuel pressure way to high, my pressure regulator took a shit and was = letting the pump run at full speed all the time.

just my experiance with noisy pump. = no problems with fuel pump since new regulator installed (last Oct.)
