2.5L - I'm not sure what fuel injection system as I don't have any papers on it. They also had a Diesel engine as well, at least in Canada!

It is the same configuration as an Aui I5 - I am looking for one of these to drop in to my 5000S Quattro (Keep the CIS-III injection system).
