Subject:      Lamenting head gaskets
Content-Type: multipart/alternative;

It's not been a good month and a half for head gaskets. First some friends of ours really overheated their minivan and warped both heads and the block of their 3.0 Plymouth. That's in the back yard half done because I didn't check the block before putting on the new heads. Then 36 hours before I had to leave for 3 weeks for work the left head gasket blew on my Vanagon. So, I took my wife's Windstar. It goes through a gallon and a half of coolant on the way home (I just got back today), and, I find a letter waiting for me from Ford stating that it has been recalled because of headgaskets blowing. Does this have anything to do with the trouble coming in 3's thing?
