Tom, I suggest that the list remain open but with a measure to keep this kind of thing from happening in the future. I think its important for non-subscribers to be able to access the wisdom of the list.

If a non-subscriber posts to the list, that e-mail gets routed to the admin for review before posting. Don't know how to accomplish this but it is prolly doable.

The best way I could label it would be a "compare to" function where the software automatically compares the senders address to the subscribers list. If the post address matches address on the subscribers list then post continues to rest of members. If no match is found then "suspect" post gets routed to an admin before continuing to the rest of the list.
