Hi, I bought my first Vanagon this spring. I live in Seattle and we had a lovely summer... lots of camping, cross state trips, etc... what fun!!! I am planning on doing some minor Westy conversions when I can afford it.... Okay, so being in the Pacific Northwest it rains, and rains, and rains... My beautiful blue Vanagon likes to cut out when it's wet! Once it comes to a coughing halt (in the middle of the Evergreen Point Floating Bridge) it won't start until it sits for a couple of days.... I'm not a mechanic (I know, I know, what business did I have buying a Vanagon??) but I am eager to learn as much as I can. I replaced the "wires", rotor, distributor cap and plugs, but the same thing is happening. I was thinking that the old wires might be shorting out in the wet... Does anyone have any suggestions? or Does anyone in Arizona want to buy a great Vanagon!! tia, Topher
