My DoKa didn't have factory speakers installed.  The P.O. installed some 6
or 6.5" Coustic speakers in the bottom part of the door.  The sound quality
it pretty good for the lows and mid, but the last time I checked my ears
weren't in my feet so the hights are severely compromised.  I am going to
replace them this spring with some same sized bass / mid speakers mounted in
the lower door and some tweeters mounted on the dash to help with the stereo
imaging.

My 84 Westie has the stock 4" speakers... their OK... but I would like to
have more bass out of them.

  I have a pair of 4" and 6" round speakers. My door panels don't have
speaker
  holes drilled yet. I'm seeking the advice of those who have gone before:
  should I use the stock location or someplace else on the panel? Would the
  6"ers fit the stock location?
