Hi Jay, Have you checked your glowplugs to make sure they're not burned out? Mine gradually got harder to start, as one by one, the glowplugs died and then it was really difficult to start when cold, but ok when hot. you disconnect the wire to them and measure them (individually) with an ohmmeter. Place one lead of the meter to the engine block near the plug, and the other on the plug terminal. Basically they will look like a very low resistance, about 2 or 3 ohms. If they're burned out, there will be no deflection of the meter needle, they will be open circuit. Geoff Perth WA.
