As Zoran had replied t himself :), you can get the hook up in a welding shop, complete with ends in the flavor you want.

Another place I have found useful is Mechanical and Governmental Surplus shops. You may need to search your local phone book for them but most large metro areas have one/some nearby.

Big o' honkin cable, h eavy duty coverings resistant to heat and oil, and ends already in place.

And cheap too. ;)
