I purchased a set of the 205/70R14 MXTs from Discount Tire in
Albuquerque in October of 2000. I was told that the tires were no longer
available except for VW Vanagons except those that had them on the
vehicle when delivered in this country. Mine was eligible by vin number.
Even then, they had to be ordered from Michelin. Took six days as I
recall, to get them, prepaid. I was told at that time the tire was
discontinued and was becoming harder to get as supplies were used up. No
replacements were being manufactured. I was happy to get them because
they are a good tire, and the stiffer sidewall really makes a difference
in handling.

I was not concerned about the tire being discontinued, as I had gotten
in under the wire so to speak, and I knew I was going to go to a 15 inch
rim the next go-around.

But from everyting I read, the tires are now history.
