Subject: Fuel Tank Sender Replacement
Content-Type: text/plain

Looking for advice on replacing a fuel tank sender. I dropped the tank and removed the original metal sender. However, when installing the new plastic sender, I broke the sender. The sender fit easily into the tank W/O the o-ring, but then it was very hard to turn with the o-ring under it. Despite having a piece of metal that fit into the detnet perfectly, The plastic apparently could not compress the o-ring. Think that if it were lubed with soap, the installation would have been possible.

Now we are supposed to go to Maine next week, don;t know whether to put the defective original one back in and get ready for the trip or call Bus Depot Monday to see if they have one that they can overnight to me for a crazy afterwork install. Anyone got a new one hanging around?

Ron - are you there?
