You will run into your rear door by about 1/4 of an inch. Depending on the year of year T3, moving the door out can be as easy as adding an extended door slliding arm. 86-later vans need some work on the rear latching position. A couple of list vneodrs sell this longer arm. IIRC VanAgain & Vanagon Projekt sell the Winkler manufactured part. They are quite pricey. I got mine done my a buddy of mine for a 12-pack plus I helped him sell his Delortos.

Most 5 studs Japanese cars in the US are 5 x114.3 mm. Some are 108 mm, others 100 mm, and very few are 112 mm.
