I'm one that has had good luck with the apparent invisibility of a Vanagon to cops looking for speeders. Kind of the opposite of a teenager in a red Corvette. Though I do cruise our TiiCo powered '88 above the posted limit, and I figure that Vanagons are about as visible to radar and laser as a semi, I have never been stopped. I figure that the cops simply can't connect the speed that came up on the gun with the Vanagon that they see before them. I can see the cop smacking the speed gun and muttering "What's the matter with you, those things don't go that fast" Gary -------Original Message------- From: daniel lawson Date: Wednesday, October 17, 2001 06:19:38 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: speeding tickets? As I was driving home from traffic court today I wondered how many other list members had recieved speeding tickets in their vanagons? Mine was for 66 in a 45... it really bummed me out because thats about as fast as I ever drive it... daniel 85 westy
