hi vanagon list.


so recently I became utterly enchanted with the volkswagon synchro.


ive found one relatively nearby (im in nyc, the synchro's in long island)


its an '87 with 208k miles on it.
body is decent (little rust)
seems to run okay, but I have only got the chance to check it out for a few
minutes.


the  owner seems like a nice guy, and the carfax report on it comes back ok.


the guy is asking $2800 for it.


anyone have an opinion on what its worth? any tips on things to watch out
for? (ok, I read all about the head gaskets)
