POR needs to be painted for those areas that get exposed to light - UV breaks down the polymere's - and it becomes useless.

Even better than the underbody though, would be to paint the interior of all the panels in POR, particularily the interior seams.

If you POR the exterior, remember that you have to sand the exterior after the POR, in order to get a pretty surface.

This could cause tiny pores or exposed areas - so a second coat may be required.

To do this right - it is a huge job, and I know as I have done it! (the exterior).

Although you didn't ask me, I think the greatest bang for the buck is to do the underside, and the interior of the panels. The finish does not need to be perfect there, and you could really slather the stuff on.

Oh, I also did the sliding door track - that gets rusty real quick.

Best of luck - it's a worthwhile project on the areas I recommended, the other areas may not be worthwhile.
