It sort of means you get all your junk parts out and build a hotrod engine with an unknown life span. I think it might get some real HP if you used big valve heads, shallow dish pistons at about 8.5/9.5 compression. I view it as something more to just have some fun with than something to put into a Westy for dependability. If you had a type IV Porsche engine it might be just the thing. Otherwise I'd just consider it a fun thing to do, building a hot rod engine that is.
