Hi Randy. I'm using Mobil Syn 15W50 all year. Started at 8K. You may want to call the installer and see what they recommend based on where your engine is in break in. There is a wide range of opinions about when an engine is broken in. 4.8 qts It's going to be a filter specifically for the model/year of your TIICO. Mine is a 2000 Jetta III so I use a Fram: PH2870A, K&N: 57-0362 You are likely still breaking in your motor so if you've got less than 8 or 10 K on it the 10W30 will likely be fine. I'd suggest a higher viscosity beginning in the spring where you live. Hopefully, you'll get so many other different responses that you will wind up much more confused than informed.
