Blake, I haven't followed this thread. Why are you removing the tranny?

As you can see it's a bit of a task to pull the tranny, make repairs, then reinstall and adjust.

Depending on the reasons for pulling the tranny - I would replace that pressure plate with a new one.

New clutch seal, new pilot bearing, re-machined flywheel, new clutch disc new pressure plate. And yes it will add about $100 -$120 to your parts list, but I wouldn't do that job without it, myself.

At about 86,000 miles I had and engine failure. When the engine was rebuilt, I went the route as described. A seal leak occured and at 10-12,000 miles the clutch was slipping badly. The pressure plate got hot under those conditions and weakened the springs. I resurfaced the flywheel --- again, installed a new clutch seal, new clutch disc, new pilot bearing, new pressure plate. This time I have put over 40K on it without a hitch. Hate having to pull that tranny. Regards,
