My first suspect: the water pump housing. I had this happen to mine, where probably some water was left in the pupmp and froze. the crack wasn't very obvious and required close inspection to reveal. Not a very expensive item to replace at your local RV dealership.

On the other hand I've had the whole water system freeze (the tank becoming a huge 5" thick walled icecube filled with liquid water), only to thaw without any damage.
