It seats in the upper back side of the front diff. right above where the VC is. //Andy ----- Original Message ----- From: Jason Willenbrock To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Sent: Monday, September 15, 2003 12:17 AM Subject: syncro speedo cable

hey all, i am going thru the pm on my 87 syncro project to get her road ready. well, cv's are getting done, finally got the drums off after 2 hours off whacking and choice swear words. i pulled off the front rotors, unturnable, bummer. anyways, i was looking for the speedo cable. on my 90gl the cable runs thru the drivers side front wheel assembly. on the 87 syncro it is not there. is it located somewhere else on syncros? i noticed the rotors are different, front lug nuts are different, so must the speedo cable be different, or did po pull it out. take note, there is no interior on this van, nothing! not even the dash. the wiring is there however. where is the speedo cable? jason
