Subject: '89 Wolfsburg Vanagon for parts in Virginia
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Not mine, but spotted on the drive home:

Nice looking ’89 automatic 2WD dark blue Wolfsburg Edition Vanagon with alloys and decent Michelins, about 75,000 miles. 7-passenger (with jump seats and folding rear seat/bed) grey interior in good shape, with the diagonal striping on the seat inserts. Carpeting looks a little stained. Good body and glass with no visible rust. Cracked and patched bumper covers. A/C, stereo, power mirrors (body-colored). Looks good overall with no apparent dents or scratches (rainy day).

Now for the bad: he says it overheats and needs transmission work. Also waiting on a new battery. He said more than once, “It’s best to buy it for parts or a project.” $1,500 is the price he told me. Call Mickey’s Auto Wholesale at (804) 784-7355 (office) or (804) 399-9977 (cell). Call Mickey, not me, but if anyone buys it to part out I'd be interested in the bed/seat setup.
