I stopped for gas and found that the Vanagon wouldn't start. (wouldn't
crank, no dash lights, nothing).  One battery cable clamp had failed by
rusting through (as the VW ones seem to do).  I went back into the store,
bought a pack of plastic cable ties, and use one to hold the remains of
the clamp to the battery post.  I suppose I should fix it before EveryBus.
