I just did this.  I found a gray rear bumper to go on my van, but my van has a black front bumper.
 After doing some BONDO work on the new rear bumper, I found some spray primer for NON-metal
surfaces (fiberglass in this case),  I thoroughly cleaned the bumper and then put on several coats
of the primer, I them used autobody type black spray paint to go over it, several coats.  So far
it has lasted 2 weeks :-) (sorry about that). It looked so good though, that I took off the front
bujper and did the same with it, and the 2 front grilles.  If you want pictures, you wont see much
as it's just a black bumper.

If I'd a given my first wife this much attention, I still might be married to her :-)  Can't
lavish enough care on the van.     Malcolm
