Interesting what you say about false advertising. I often have to request part numbers to verify that the part is actually what they claim. In a recent purchase I bought a license plate light from an E bay seller and when it got here it was a very cheap Chinese knock off made of frail plastic. It looked good in the picture though. I bought a set of Intermetic A/C gauges and manifold (Think that's the name), at any rate it it's the same brand and the box appeared to be what I've seen locally. When it got here the first thing that broke were the clear gauge faces, then the backs then the knobs fell off and I realized that the manifold was pot metal with a nice brass paint job. I just got fleeced on the deal. E bay is like the Wild Wild West ................ Lots of robbers and crooks out there looking for you.

Of course... this is the guy trying to make his retirement nest egg selling every conceivable part from an '83 Diesel Vanagon. I think he must have set a record by now - it's been painful to watch, as he comes up regularly on my "diesel Vanagon" search...
