Absolutely turn off the fridge before you put in gasoline. I should have mentioned this before in my previous message. Good catch.

I find that the propane is good if you're at a campsite, then want to drive to a hiking ground. Or, you're driving and want to pop into a store or restaurant.

Turn off the fridge before pulling up to the gas pumps.

Also, I guess this is obvious, but if you have any gasoline smell outside the van, even from cracked fuel tank overflow tubes, don't use the fridge.
