Manual trannies have a hex insert plug on the sides (19mm??).  Have van
level and remove plug.  Fluid level should be just to where it is starting
to drain.  I have used the tall plastic gear oil bottles as squeeze bottles
with a section of tubing going up into the hole on the transmission.  Lots
of rags and a drip pan are suggested items.
