               running a 70º t-stat instead of 87º...

Regarding this Thread, I for one had a 70 degree thermo in my 85gl 1.9 l and noticed this after replacing the water pump, I was like wow thats a low thermo, replaced it with a 87 degree and seems I started to run kinda hot, middle of needle.. I used the 70 during some of the hottest times here in Vegas well over 115 outside and got hot, but not like this 87 thermo i have now.. water pump? thermo stuck open?

BTW seems my coolent crossover tube near the pump desided to give up the ghost also and start to leak a bit from the tube, never hitting the ground at all just PITA drip from it making a bit of a mess, like to keep motor looking clean so it drive me nuts..

I replace the pump/thermo 87degree /bottle sender.. I get about middle of needle in traffic, then fan comes on and goes off. ok thats work.. no blinking at all!!

I'm not really comfy with just looking at the gauge and saying oh the needle moved so I'm running HOT, but IT does help to get some kind of idea on things, like the coolent bottle, if your low on coolent it will blink ;) good for something.. hehe
