The manufacturer catalogs will likely have the rub rating (if the manufacturer supplies it). Same may be true whether the fabric is UV resistant. Ask for assistance. A better fabric store will have knowledgable help that can look up the info. Additionally, they'll know which fabrics are appropriate for upholstery, as opposed to clothes or drapery. I'll hunt down the maker of the tweeds I've got on my camper (it might be Absecon Mills) . I know that the tweeds used are used by several other uphostery places besides Sewfine. As I recall, the manufacturers catalog in the fabric store had even more.
