Subject: Question about turn signal indicator light
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII; delsp=yes; format=flowed

Maybe someone can shed some light on an indicator light problem I've had for a while.

About a year ago, I swapped my instrument console for a spare one in order to gain a working gas gauge and instrument illumination. That part was a success, but in the swap I lost my coolant LED, turn signal indicator LED and high beam LED.

Today I swapped out that instrument console for yet another one I'd collected. Now EVERYTHING works EXCEPT the turn signal indicator LED.

Is that LED a common problem? Should I be looking for the wiring somewhere else?

The only other two data points i have to offer on this problem are

1. When the parking brake is pulled up and the parking light is on, I can detect a very slight pulse during turn signal operation in the parking brake warning light and

2. The turn signals worked fine until I changed out the first module for the second about a year ago, which seems coincidental with a failure in the module but could possible be a pulled wire somewhere.

Any ideas, anyone?

Thanks,

Jim
