those of you with dogs, what mods have you done to keep things clean?

I have two german shepherds and we usually go to the beach 5-6 times a week. Between the shedding, the sand and the water, it gets REALLY messy and fast.

The route im considering now is going all vinyl for upholstery, vinyl for the flooring and maybe a temp rug I can put on the floor and easily take out/shake out /trash.

any tips?

ps - posting about XM and serious was sort of vanagon related, but all of the 'this shouldn't be on the list' stuff afterward was just totally worthless.

the quickest way to keep crap off the list - don't post it. if you have an issue with someones post, PRIVATE message them, not the whole list. people that CC the whole list just show that they are more interested in looking 'right' than making right.
