Yes there is search, and I have found it awkward and sometimes I have
found that the exact same question has not come up, just a related
one. You can spend a lot of time trolling old discussions for answers
and come up empty, or you can just post to people and have a quick
response.
But most importantly is the community aspect - connecting with other
vanagon enthusiasts. Which is why I inserted the bit about our boat;
more personal that way, more about community. You never know when a
thread will take off. I did not intend to violate the rules. I did not
intend to "out" a personal message.
