Hi Joy,

As I dimly recall from the concurrent eBay listing, it was purchased by a
Norwegian (Swedish maybe) farmer. The story was that the farmer liked the
that particular configuration of van so much that he bought two identical
vans new from VW at the same time, and laid this one up in his barn against
the day that the other one was worn out.

Apparently that day never came. I would just love to know how much whoever
was selling this van paid to get it in the first place, as I recall the
thing going for over $50,000 on eBay.

Nice advertisement for a dealer to have, I guess.
