yea, it works very well for what it is. The shower curtain snaps to
the aw top. and then snaps inside a regular rubber made container.
The solar shower unit is on the roof. Then when your done you can
dump down the sink as the aw's have a gray water tank built in, or
put the lid on and dump down a sink at the campground.
This all said, I've used it a handful of times. Great if you've been
out hiking in the summer your just filthy dusty.

Not sure if you've looked at the setup that came with the
adventurewagen but it's OK. The links will give you an idea of how it
works. The fabric used is coated nylon and a simple zipper is sewn
in. I do bit of sewing myself, backpacks, bags and fleece shirts and
find for outdoor fabrics your better off ordering off the web. I'd
take a look at <http://www.questoutfitters.com/> and <http://
www.owfinc.com/Fabrics/fabricmain.htm> both are owned by very
helpful people and they are used to first time sewers. Give them a
call and I'm sure they can offer advice on the best coated nylons and
I'd consider a zipper.

I want to build some shower stalls for both my 83.5 Westy and my EV
MV. I
like the design I see at http://tinyurl.com/27nhge . I know I can buy
something similar right now but they are $250 each and that $500 is
being
put aside for when my engine blows. I don't want a free standing shower
because it looks like a shower and attracts the park rangers and
their grey
water collection speech. (Please don't start the grey water argument
again...) Anyway, I'm going to make ones that look like the attached
photo
except I'd like to add some screens too. After looking for fabrics
on the
web I discovered that waterproof fabrics can be pretty expensive.
Perhaps
this is why the German pre-made versions of these are $250. I don't
want to
do the blue-tarp route either. I found a fabric locally called "Sport
Nylon" it's nice and thin and appears like it would pack up well. A
small
writeup can be found at http://tinyurl.com/234grr . I also found some
vinyl
but it's too think. Is anybody familiar with this "Sport Nylon"
product and
do you think it would work?
If I move forward with this I may make some for some listmembers too
if it
turns out OK.
Thanks,
Bryan
