Subject: 90 GL fuse trouble
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII; delsp=yes; format=flowed

I'm selling my '90 GL (automatic) in a couple of weeks and I'm trying not to spend too much money getting it ready for sale. It runs great and has been well taken care of, but awhile back there was a 9 volt drain on the battery coming from the electrical system. Rather than take it to an electric/stereo shop, I just had that fuse disconnected.

Am I a fool to show the van this way? It has a great radio/CD player and all of the internal lights are fine, but I can't demo any of them. I'm hoping to find a savvy buyer who has dealt with such things before and won't try to knock hundreds of dollars off the price for what (I'm guessing) is a fairly minor repair.

Info from people who have had this specific problem is highly appreciated. I'm willing to lower the price to reflect the true cost of the repair. I live in Santa Cruz County, CA. where there is a VW on every block. (it will be listed on craigslist, BTW)
