Absolutely. And the longer the socket the more necessary it is.

I've also had very good luck with one of Bus Depot's flat stamped wrenches, with a long extension welded on and given a slight offset at the right point to clear the bodywork. I also calibrated it so that by standing on a stirrup slung from the right point based on your body weight, you could easily torque it back up again, but that's another story.
