A slightly different approach on this -- we have a Midas on the Westy
that we paid for in 1991.  Lifetime guarantee on the muffler.  Have
lost count of how many times in the past 20 years it has been
replaced, but always quickly, no hassle and free.

Stainless is the gold standard though they can fail too (baffles or
whatever breaking loose).

Please note - During the past 17 years of operation, several gigabytes of Vanagon mail messages have been archived. Searching the entire collection will take up to five minutes to complete. Please be patient!
