You might search the archives to find the troubles I had. The vent was not correctly soldered where it exits the tank. Bus Depot checked and at first thought that ALL the tanks they had were that way. Then they called and said they had found (at least) one that was correct, which they sent to me.

Bus Depot went out of their way to see and fix the problem. They are our friends!

I wouldn't replace the sending unit if it works. But be careful pulling it out and putting it in, 'cause you can ruin it and you don't want to drop the new tank....
