Dunno if it's common, but if that's *all* that goes out it means
you're losing the internal ten-volt panel supply for those two
gauges.  Bad connection on the panel voltage regulator or possibly
bad regulator.  Regulator costs way out of proportion to what it
ought to, but it's still not all that expensive.
