Ed, the early vans just had the low and high side fittings right near the compressor. The SUC is the low side (suction) where you would normally add refrigerant. If you have a gauge set you can hook up both and see what the high side is doing (I would recommend this to be sure it is doing OK). Let me know if you need any more parts or info.
