Here is a part I have never paid much attention to until the other day when I pulled the hub cap. What I found was that the greese cap for fmy 1987 with 2 wheel drive is not seating on the spindle. If I knock it back on it won't stay. the only thing that keeps it on at all is becaause the speedo cable is fastend to it. I also put a wire around the cable to help hold it in place.

I ordered a new one from a list vendor and I got it to go on maybe a little but it wil not go on all the way on the hub. What gives? Did VW not make it a little to small to to go ver the hub like it should?? The other side without the square hole is fine and it does fit as intended.

Thanks for any comment here.

Chris
